M2educate was born out of urgency. As families transverse education from preschool through Graduate school, a gargantuan amount of information must be processed. Often families feel isolated as they travel through unchartered waters. Whether a family has chosen a day school, public school, Montessori school, faith-based school, or homeschool environment, the growing concept of globalism shaping our nation is impacting the American Educational System.
M2educate's founder, Michelle Merryman, compassionately began identifying feelings; specific to how children might be feeling in these rigorous educational environments. Students in America are pushed to extraordinary measures, to learn at a faster pace and to test constantly; with little opportunity for discussion, reflection, or time to have questions answered. Michelle also feels immense compassion for the teachers; some of whom are strapped to meet rigorous standards without time to creatively approach the subject matter. Could it be the factory mentality has set foot within our American classrooms?
M2educate was formed to address the student's well-being FIRST. Fluid intelligence is being hampered in such a way that crystalized intelligence is being hindered. This is not acceptable.
Just as Socrates valued wisdom gained by asking questions, M2educate encourages the Socratic Method as students deserve more time to allow concepts to marinade, more time to have questions answered, and more time to critically analyze content.
M2educate's bespoke approach allows students to engage in an educational echo chamber. Together we will roll up our sleeves and allow our students to experience a renaissance of thought.
